Located in Monterey Park, construction at this project began in September 2017 and is expected to be finished in 4.5 years. Plans include building the new substation while keeping the old substation operational. Once they begin constructing the second half of the new substation, the old substation will begin demolition.
Major components of this substation project include installation of two new telecommunication lines and reroute of one existing telecommunication line within the cities of Monterey Park, Montebello, and Rosemead along with portions of unincorporated LA County.
Saf-T-Co has supplied conduit, grounding material, custom PVC offsets, custom GRC nipples, and handholes. We look forward to continuing to supply material for this ongoing project.
